No, we just used heaps of little plastic cups and thingies arranged as you see in the Great Hall of the Melbourne Arts Centre ;-))

Oh Wow! I have always intended to see the sand mandalas made, but my inability to get out of the house much hindered me going. This has to change. It is very impressive - evocative, moving, beautiful, calming - it must have a truly peaceful meditative effect when working on one.
