International approaches to reducing deliberately lit fires
I am a Doctor of Clinical Psychology student from the University of Auckland, New Zealand. My supervisor is Dr Ian Lambie, Director of the Clinical Psychology programme.
We are working on a research project sponsored by the New Zealand Fire Service. We are primarily interested in the implementation and operation of treatment for people who deliberately light fires. Treatment can take place within a specific firesetting related programme or be conducted by clinicians individually as part of their overall case load. I have attached a letter providing more detail about the study.
At this stage I am trying to identify potential participants within Australia - programmes or clinicians with experience treating people who have deliberately lit fires.
Can you help? Are you able to pass on my letter to your members or post it on your website?
By all means pass on my details to any individual or organisation that may be relevant.
Thank you for your time. I look forward to hearing from you.
