High Priestess

What on earth (or in the ethers) has this to do with Marie Laveau? ;-P Posted by Picasa

Probably nothing! I suspect that the deck meanings are specific to Lovecraft's writings, just as much of the New Orleans Voodoo is specific to Voudon.

On the other hand ... I could be completely wrong LOL!

Only kidding...I did not of course mean a direct connection, but weird how the same card can give rise to such completely different renderings. Had a flash of the 'traditional' (RW!) High Priestess today, when having to learn at least a bit of our photographer Robyn's digital expertise (in an afternoon!) to get photos of me expedited to Norway: for some strange reason, one of them, with a pillar behind, got reversed, and put the pillar on the other side to the other one, so...the High Priestess (x2!) now in between the legendary two pillars...? lol

Claire,

I have no idea who Marie Laveau is, but I'm glad that at least Mythos had something sensible to say.

And I'd love to have a look at the photo that you had taken, if you can post it to your blog.

Love,
Sebi
