La Santa Muerta would make a great Despedida card in herself...

...note rosaries around neck and hand, also linking him to the Empress, as Virgin Mary, and the way he holds the orb also suggests, to me, the Venus or women-symbol... and maybe even a great Chaos magick servitor to infiltrate the system of Frankston hospital to expedite the long-delayed operation of Ken? ;-))

How stunning ... and we have the reminder too that no-one ... even the priests of the church are immune from death.

This is a "Santa Muerte"(Holly Death) picture it was an underground dark cult for many decades, he is believed to protect people in risky jobs like prostitutes and thieves, but now her cult has become a very public thing scary for many people specially for the catholicc church... I believe this kind of cult exist because the church is not fulfilling the needs of the people in a chaotic world we live. I don't practice this cult but find it very interesting from a social and spiritual point of view.

I got another picture from one of her temples here

Actually I didn't think of the Hierophant but of the RWS Death card in which Death rides his pale horse, while a cardinal (I think) stands before him ... but death will take him too.

I'll put a pic of my Hierophant/Holy Man banner which I created for the Tarot Conference ... it shows how I see this card. It isn't a very good photo. The light flares off it, and it doesn't get the detail because the actual banner is 6' X 3' (olf measurements LOL).

I find the Santa Muerte death cults also very interesting, Flavio. Where does my Senora Muerte (also an original, from Mexico, made of papier mache) fit in? She has a death's head, but otherwise wears the dress of a lady going to the races at Ascot, with a feather boa, which actually conceals a snake also draped around her neck? I love her, and could not resist her! Have also painted her, but have no scanner... ;-P
